Bălcăuţi is a commune located in Suceava County, Romania. It is composed of three villages: Bălcăuţi, Gropeni and Negostina.
At the 2002 census, 69.7% of inhabitants were Ukrainians and 30.1% Romanians. 74.4% were Eastern Orthodox, 6.9% stated they belonged to another religion, 6.3% were Seventh-day Adventist, 6.1% Greek-Catholic and 4.5% Christian Evangelical.
